The name Chimère
French word for dream or illusion. It reflects the soft surrealism woven through each frame. Using medium format cameras like the Mamiya RB67 and Pentax 645, Sam captures portraits and scenes that feel both real and slightly otherworldly.

Film is my medium of choice because it honors the slow unfolding of a moment. Like dreams, each image carries a softness and a subtle imperfection that speaks to what is fleeting and true. With each session, I shoot with intention: no two people, no two stories, and no two frames are the same.
